I want to be upfront and say that my photos are not always perfect. As a more documentary-style photographer, I focus on preserving emotions so that you can relive them through photographs. Sometimes the ones that evoke the most feeling are not the ones you print out and that’s okay! I value authenticity over superficial perfection. I’m first and foremost a storyteller, and I do not take my job of telling YOUR story back to you through my photographs lightly. And your story includes the messy and raw, the beautiful and classy, and everything in between. My editing style, which is often moody and film-like, reflects my philosophy.
I hear “I am so awkward and don’t know what to do!” a lot during my shoots. Trust me, I am too! But we will get though it together. My goal is to ensure that everyone is relaxed, comfortable, and having a good time. My method of “guided suggestion”, rather than stiff poses, is the key to natural looking photos.
I am prepared for the pouring rain, freezing cold, and am ready to hike to insane places with you. Anything it takes to capture your one-of-a-kind memories!
